The point of entry into Saco Island School is a referral from an appropriate Special Education Director. A tour will be completed for each individual in consultation with parents, guardians, and appropriate support personnel. An Individual Educational Plan will be submitted from the sending school district to assist in the students’ needs and education. Periodic evaluations will occur and a new or revised action plan developed based on the progress and needs.

High School students have direct access to all services of JPS, Inc. to further their transitional and Vocational goals:

Students have an opportunity to develop good work habits, learn new skills, earn high school credit, and earn a stipend by participating in a vocational placement in the community.
